Great cap! Fits perfectly. Good on it's own down to the 40s and used in combination with a balaclava in the upper 20s/lower 30s. I highly recommned.

Best riding hat EVER!

Alpine Thermal Cap

I have had dozens of hats of different brand names and this one blows them out of the water. It fits comfortably under my helmet, keeps my head/ears warm, and the bill does not obscure my eyes.

Finally found a winter cap big enough to cover my ears

Alpine Thermal Cap

I have a big head. Tried another hat from a well known cycling brand and it didn't cover my ears. This one does. It's warm, and although I didn't love the feel of the inner liner, when it's on my head I forget about that.

Brim does a good job at diverting wind away from my eyeglasses, flap over my ears does not increase wind noise, fabric is warm while still fitting nicely under my helmet.

Good for fall/winter

Alpine Thermal Cap

Did well on first chill ride in the mountain. I have a big noggin and this fits fairly well. Sometimes have to pull the flaps down to make sure they're covering my ears, but not more than a few times over 4+ hours of cycling. Can also lift the flaps up on hot climbs

Really nice piece of kit for a ride in the 30s or 40s. Probably too warm for anything above those temps. I like the fleece lining. This is the second one I have bought because they are just that good.
