Since its founding in 2016 by David Hought and Richard Baldwin, Wold Top Pactimo Racing Team (RT) has been dedicated to supporting and developing local cycling talent. Over the years, the team has helped riders progress through the ranks, with some even advancing to continental racing and world pro teams.
Originally focused on road racing in Yorkshire, Wold Top Pactimo RT quickly gained regional success before expanding its scope across the UK. Today, the team competes in multiple disciplines, including gravel, cyclocross, and mountain biking (MTB), demonstrating its versatility and commitment to high-performance racing.
At the heart of the team’s success is Wold Top Brewery, a key sponsor with a simple but powerful vision: to craft great-tasting beer using homegrown, sustainably sourced ingredients for cyclists and beer lovers alike. Their passion for cycling is evident in their annual 60-mile sportive, where riders finish their journey with a well-earned pint at the brewery—one of the most anticipated events on the local cycling calendar!

For the 2025 season, Wold Top Pactimo RT has undergone a refresh, bringing in a new team manager, fresh talent, and an exciting new look. While the core mission remains unchanged, the new leadership has set four key objectives:
Creating a group of like-minded cyclists who push themselves and each other to be their best on race day.
A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere leads to happy riders, strong camaraderie, and better race-day results.
Strengthening the team’s impact at high-profile UK races, with a focus on teamwork and top-tier performances.
Increasing the team’s success in off-road cycling and making a mark in women’s racing.

The Midlands duo, known for their racing prowess and social energy. Phil’s dog, Ralph, also serves as the official team mascot and post-race recovery companion!
Ffion Drake - The team’s first female racer, set to compete alongside Ryan Manders in gravel and cyclocross events.
A hill-climbing specialist, known for his record-setting climbs and massive power output (1 min: 1000W+, 30s: 1400W+, 5s: 2000W+, peak: 2200W+). He also plans to use that power in road racing before the hill climb season.
Three U23 riders from Loughborough University, bringing fresh energy and ambition to the national scene.
Recently transitioned from elite racing in Dubai, now preparing for the unique challenges of British roads.
A former team rider and coach, Tom Ramsay steps into a full-time team management role for 2025. With a background in motocross, road, cyclocross, and XC racing, Tom’s experience is invaluable. As a full-time performance coach, he knows exactly how to motivate and guide riders to peak performance.
With an expanded squad, fresh energy, and renewed goals, Wold Top Pactimo RT is set for an exciting season of racing across road, gravel, and off-road disciplines.
